Spays and Neuters
We recommend getting yout pet spayed or neutered between 5 to 6 months of age at the earliest. There are a number of advantages of having these procedures done:
- Spayed and Neutered pets tend to live longer and healthier lives.
- They is a lower chance of them roaming.
- Many behavioral problems can be avoided.
- Helps prevent overpopulation
The operation is a day surgery, your pet gets dropped off in the morning after being fasted overnight and they get to go home around dinner time. The recovery takes about 10 days and is relatively uneventful.
By spaying or neutering your pet you alleviate several conditions associated with keeping your pet intact.
